I’m on vacation this week and working on getting some other tracks encoded to mp3 and uploaded to the site.
Partial list of tracks:
To except tracks from my Performance at the Clarence-Dillon Library two years ago (yeah, it is hard to find the time to process these tracks…better late then never though…)
There may be a few more…if time allows…
Hey, maybe I’ll even get around to playing music this week…there’s a novel concept.
As many know, it is difficult to balance ones home life, professional life and artisit life… usually, the home and professional win out. And, having an mild to medium level autistic child makes that even more likely…
On the Autism front, my wife continues to work hard to get our son the best therapy available. We are big believers in ABA using Discrete Trials. Many people believe that this “conditioning” is hard on the child.
Though it might be somewhat true, this therapy give my son 50% percent change to integrate into a normal school by 7 years old. No other therapy has:
a) anywhere near this change of success
b) this level of empirical evidence of success.
Ther eare many of other therapy options out there, but when the proponents are asked for statistics on success rates, the dodge the question and say things like “Statisics..statistic…some many people are worried about that…”… I wonder why…
Oh! that track just finished the encoding process… back to work…

Ok…another blog…the question is will I post? This requires Discipline…
Since being a musician requires Discipline, perhaps getting into the habbit of posting to this blog would be an excellent way to acquire more Discipline and, in a round about way, make myself a better musician.
If you’ve found this blog, then you must be familiar with what Ombient is all about…so I won’t repeat it here.
The topics I’ll be posting will be broad… I intend this to be a sort of a diary of the life of a semi-professional musician who primary career is in the I.T. industry.
