Head on over to the Studio Sounds page and check out the two recent additions.
Rainforest One - A cool work in progress, have a listen to it and know it will change… It opens with the sound of a river and jungle birds…and the natives are restless nearby… the village shaman is doing his shamanizing. This is a direction I have been planning on pursuing for some time….hope you like it.
Analog Improv - No guitar! wow…that can’t be Ombient… well, I am known to bang the black and whites from time to time. This is an old school Arppeggiator/Analog synth lead improv type thing… might do this as a live piece at the Revelwood Art Show.
Also, my collaboration with Bill Fieger called Mayakara has produced some tracks, one of which is our Live Performance at the 2007 Electro-Music Festival. The other is a recording from a rehersal in my studio. Click here to listen. More tracks to come from Mayakara soon, as well as a CD release.
I’ve been practicing with my Didgeridoo lately and almost have the circular breathing down. I grabbed a Native American flute (in the key of F) maye by Tribal Earth recently, and I love it. Good tone for a synthetic instrument and a good price. Easy to play too. I got it from the Didgeridoo Store. So, you’ll be hearing more flutes on Mayakara and Ombient tracks.
Until next time…

Well, I experienced my first Electro-Music festival in ealy June. It was an excellent event. All those organizers and volunteers deserve a big round or applause!
I performed with Brainstatik on myu first day. Met some cool people, learned some cool new stuff and heard some great music.
Warren Sirota was a highlight for me. It was great to hear another looper doing such great work. He constructed his own customer looping software using Max/Msp, Java (it migh have included some FLASH as well, not sure.) He was kind enough to demonstrate his software to me earlier that day.
I got to play with a Moog Voyager (own by Terry Furber) in the basement, a real live VCS3 in the small gallery as well as a few other odd intruments and installation sound art pieces.
Next year, I think I am going to sign up for all three days. I’ll probably submit myself as “Ombient” to plasy a set as well as with Brainstatik and Mayakara…three bads, three days…we’ll see.
